Baked Rice Recipe

Here I am, sharing another favorite recipe on my blog. Baked rice.

I received this recipe years ago from a friend. This recipe is delicious. To me, this recipe is a staple. It works well to make this in any season - spring, summer, fall, or winter. We make this recipe all the time in our home.

We usually like to make this to go along with chicken, but this would go nicely with almost anything, I think.

We also enjoy fixing a vegetable on the side like steamed broccoli, green beans, or asparagus.

This is such an easy way to make rice. The butter, chicken broth, and seasonings give this rice recipe its delicious flavor.

Baked Rice. It is delicious!

One of the things I look forward to in my own home someday is cooking for a family of my own.

There might be days when I may not feel like cooking as much, but that is just life sometimes.

In life, things like cold cereal for breakfast and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch happen. And that’s okay. That is called life. (having some fruit to go along with those meals helps in the nutritional department)

It is nice to have simple, easy, “go to” recipes.

Recipes like this one are so easy - making a very nice and sustaining dish to go with supper.

This recipe is a tried and true keeper for me.

Baked Rice
(serves 6-8)

1/3 cup butter
3 cups chicken broth
1 and 1/2 cups white jasmine rice
1 and 1/2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder

• In a 9 x 13 inch dish, melt butter in oven first.

• Remove dish from oven, and then add and mix all of the other ingredients together in the dish.

• Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 60 minutes.

Serve warm. Enjoy!
